Konstantin,

Take the following Steps using IE5

Make sure you have the high encryption packs before continuing!

1) Export the cert in question as .p7b of .pfx file. If you have a .p12
file hanging out, this is also fine. OL2000 recognizes .p12 files.
2) In OL2000 make a new phone book entry for the person you wish to send
email to (this includes yourself!)
3) Enter the person's email in the proper places.
4) Flick over to the "Digital ID's" page.
5) Choose an email address from the drop down box.
6) Import the needed certificate(s) they will be assigned to the proper
email address.
7) Next, go to Menu item "Tools|Options" an then security settings.
8) Place a check mark in the "Clear Sign Messages". Not joking do it. (See
attachment #1)
9) Set your default s/mime profile by pressing "Change Settings"
10) Now enter your default email, Choose both the proper signing and
encryption certs and hashes. SHA-1 and 3DES are a wise choice. (See
attachment #2)
11) Okay out of the dialogs.

You are now done! When you send email, it will be signed if opted to. When
you receive a signed email, right click on the recipient's address and
make a new contact record for that person. At this point, their
certificate will be imported into their contact record for your convince.
