        Nooo....

        Actually, that's not strictly true.  Ssh is secure shell, not
secured telnet.  It replaces rsh/rcp/rlogin with ssh/scp/slogin.  Stelnet
is SSL secured telnet.  That's telnet tunneled over SSL and includes
the telnet protocol handshaking and other oddities of telnet which
do not exist in ssh.  There might not seem like much difference to
the end user, since they both APPEAR to do the same job (if you are
just connecting to a shell), but they are subtly and significantly
different.

        But you are right...  They MIGHT be talking about ssh and
mistakenly thinking it's telnet and then mistakenly think it's over
SSL.  Then again, it might be telnet over SSL, as which time we
are talking about stelnet, not ssh.

        I don't see how you will be able to tell without more information
and the thought of a 3rd party "telneting" to my servers when I can't
even contact them, secure or not, makes me feel very spooky.
