What is the different between AT_KEYEXCHANGE and AT_SIGNATURE

Dear all, Can somebody tell me the difference between AT_KEYEXCHANGE AND AT_SIGNATURE? Do AT_SIGNATURE key usage should be checked before creating digital signature?
