please reply to me personally, since I'm not on the list. I have been looking at the online documentation for openssl and it refers to EVP functions like EncryptInit_ex, and several other functions ending in _ex -- these symbols do not exist in the libraries, but the docs say that the functions without _ex are obsolete. Can someone explain this to me please? Also all the examples use _ex functions. What is the correct thing to do?
