Can a cert installed on IIS 5.0 be converted to pem format, ie, the cert and private key in text format (suitable for use with Apache). The Thawte site outlines a long, agonizing process of first converting to IIS 4.0 format and actually loading it into an IIS 4.0 server to accomplish the conversion.
