I am looking for a commercial or open source tool for doing SSL performance analysis. Any body has used any tool?
I am tasked to analyze SSL performance on different applications like People soft, Citrix, SQL, internet proxy, web logic running on Windows 2000, UNIX and doing SSL performance analysis while connecting to Active directories and NDS.
Should I use the same certs on both the application box and the Active directories server? I believe we have Verisign CA certs installed on the Active directories server.
Any idea how should I approach this. I am thinking of enabling these applications with SSL and monitor performance and than turn off the SLL and see the performance hit. I am fairly new with SLL and really need some advise...
Some of the applications are not ssl aware and in this case I may end up using Stunnel with OpenSLL to enable SLL. Any other recommendations.
Has any body has insight with stunnel as to how to do this? My understanding is First I have to install OpenSLL than install Stunnel and enable ssl on the application..
