Hi, I am trying to install openssl-0.9.6g on Solaris 2.5 using Perl 5.005_03.
When I type my command sh config no-thread I get the following error Operating system: sun4u-whatever-solaris2 Can't locate strict.pm in @INC at ./Configure line 9. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./Configure line 9. Can't locate strict.pm in @INC at ./Configure line 9. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./Configure line 9. This system (solaris-sparcv9-gcc) is not supported. See file INSTALL for details. Looking in the INSTALL file did not help me. Then I tried unpacking and running the command in the same directory I usually put my Perl modules since those always seem to find the other modules needed on their own... but I got the same error. I see in one of my directories that I have strict.pm. I saw one post in this list that said try perl -MCPAN -e 'install strict' but I don't really know what that is really doing so I didn't want to try it without knowing what it does first. Can anyone help me resolve this? Please let me know if I have left out any relevant information.
