We don't have any explicit policy on this.  Personally, I have no
problem with vacation programs (I take them up since you mentioned
them), as long as they behave properly (i.e. do NOT use Reply-To:).
TMDA is fine in my opinion as well.  However, it should be configured
to consider mails from lists friendly, so the person running an TMDA
should also make sure to configure properly.

That said, I think you should talk directly with
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.  Incidently, I can't recall having
received confirmation requests from that address, but it may be that I
just ignored them...
