indeed I was aware of that. The 'pk7' file here looks like

-----BEGIN PKCS7-----
(...)
B0aGF3fGUuY29tMB4X
(...)
-----END PKCS7-----

Tryed with joe and vi, with and without carriage return at the end, no
changes, the (irrelevant) error msg stills there.
