Hi, i have installed openssl 0.9.7d using a file downloaded from a web called Win32 OpenSSL v0.9.7d.exe, so i didn't compile any source code.
Well, the problem is that i have tried to create a CA using this command:

openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa -out cacert.pem -outform PEM
[...]
I suposse that i have to do something like in linux, create a config file and define the variable OPENSSL_CONF; am i right?

Yes. As an alternative to setting the environment variable you may explicitly name your config file with the -config parameter (works on Linux as well as on Win32)

If that is what i have to do, the config file is the same file in linux and in win32?,

Yes

If not where can i get an example of this win32 config file?

You don't need any other. Wasn't there even an example included with the Win32-Setup?

Thanks for your help.

Since you already suspected the right thing, wouldn't it have been worth a try before flooding the mailing list? ;)

No offense intended.
