Hi,
I have a setup configured with IPv6 addresses (i.e.
5555::9 and 5555::10). I am using latest openssl
0.9.8a which is supporting ipv6.
When I tried to connect to my server PC using
s_client, it is returning the following error.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Desktop]# openssl s_client
-connect [5555::10]:443
getservbyname failure for :10]:443
usage: s_client args
May be usage of openssl for IPv6 is different. When Is
earched in google it is pointing to "[openssl.org
#1361] PATCH: Adding IPv6 support to s_client and
s_server" but this is suppored to openssl-0.9.8b as
found in the Fedora Core Rawhide.
I am having Fedore core : 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp
I ahve installed altest openssl 0.9.8c, still i am
having the same issue.
Could you please send me an example on how to use
openssl s_client option with IPv6.
