Works For Me (TM).
Please provide the _exact_ configure/compile sequence you used. Be
_very_ sure that GNU ld / GNU as are _NOT_ in your PATH ahead of
/usr/ccs/bin. Also make sure that you have all compiler tool chain
patches applied.
