We have been experiencing sporadic customer complaints of Firefox hanging when connecting to our web server using SSL. When the problem occurs we see the errors like this:
I/O error, 5 bytes expected to read on BIO#329418 Sometimes the connection completes after 15 or so seconds, others it just times out. We've been able to recreate the problem using FF 3.0.7 on Win XP. We've also heard reports that the problem goes away if the user turns off the Referer header in the request since the site that is redirecting the request has a very long URL (over 800 bytes). Anyone seen anything like this or know of a fix we can try? Thanks, Joe
