Integration with other OpenStack 'integrated' projects cuts both ways. You can't have the exposure benefits of being published in the common integrated release without fulfilling the integration constraints. If you think integration requirements will stifle initial growth of the project, maybe remaining a bit longer in "incubation" is what you want ?
