Hi Thomas, As noted on the patch, XenServer only has python 2 (and some versions of XenServer even has Python 2.4) in domain0. This is code that will not run in Debian (only in XenServer's dom0) and therefore can be ignored or removed from the Debian package. It's not practical to convert these to support python 3.

I would have like to read some opinions about this. Is it a good time for such move? I hope it is, because I'd like to maintain as few Python package with Py2 support at the time of Debian Buster freeze. Also, doing Queens, I've noticed that os-xenapi is still full of py2 only stuff in os_xenapi/dom0. Can we get those fixes? Here's my patch: https://review.openstack.org/544809 Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo) __________________________________________________________________________ OpenStack Development Mailing List (not for usage questions) Unsubscribe: openstack-dev-requ...@lists.openstack.org?subject:unsubscribe http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack-dev __________________________________________________________________________ OpenStack Development Mailing List (not for usage questions) Unsubscribe: openstack-dev-requ...@lists.openstack.org?subject:unsubscribe http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack-dev
