I see there were some discussions and proposed implementations on
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/neutron/+spec/auto-associate-floating-ip
blueprint (including a mail thread

) but there was no activity on it in the past 6 months.
I would like to work on this blueprint if nobody else is working on it.
