Hi Nova cores, We’d like to request an FFE for this added nova feature. It gives a real interface - a JSON file - to network data inside the instance. This is a patch Rackspace carries downstream, and we’ve had lots of interested users, including the OpenStack Infra team and upstream cloud-init. We’d love to get this in for Kilo so all can benefit from the better interface.
There are a few small patches remaining to implement this functionality: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/155116/ Updates the testing portion of the spec to reflect we can’t tempest test this, and will instead add functional tests to Nova for it.
