I'd like to echo this statement, as one who was a mentor during this last 
round. It's a good experience that doesn't take a lot of extra time. I was 
initially worried about the time commitment, but it's ended up being "office 
hours" a few times a week in IRC (where I am all the time anyway) and email 
correspondence with the intern. If you are considering being a mentor, I'd 
encourage it. It's a great learning experience and rewarding for both the 
mentor and intern.
