Yes this sounds interesting too. In fact the geo diverse failover mentioned in
the “copper” proposal can easily be considered as an extension global DNS
namespace that I am talking about.
Lets see if we get any response from openstack-dev mailer.

The use case is quite useful. One project called “Copper” in OPNFV also
mentioned a similar use case “Geo-Diverse Load-Balanced Service Instance
Deployment” here :https://wiki.opnfv.org/copper/use_cases Designate may
help “Geo-Diverse Load-Balanced Service Instance Deployment”, “a single
(flat) external domain name space for floating IPs” could be the first step,
