Hi folks,
We have plans to write functional tests for ironicclient. And the
following question arose :
In current realization, functional test environment uses ironicclient
api directly(client managers), this approach has one problem - it
doesn't include command-line interface code. So it would be better to
use tempest-lib for this. It makes call to ironic with Popen, and has
code for parsing results.
Yeah, both approaches have value. If there are no tests in Tempest
currently that use the python-ironicclient as a CLI tool (via Popen
calls), then yes, I would think that would be a welcome addition.
