I have a feeling launchpad asked my to renew my membership of nova-bug

Not sure if thats intentional to keep the list fresh? Its the first I
knew about it.

Unsure, but that could be related?

Thanks,
John

Subject: Re: [openstack-dev] [nova] Bug importance

Gary,

Not sure what changed...

On this page (https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/) on the right hand side, do
you see "Bug Supervisor" set to "Nova Bug Team"? I believe "Nova Bug Team"
is open and you can add yourself, so if you do not see yourself in that
group, can you please add it and try?

Hi,
In the past I was able to set the importance of a bug. Now I am unable to
do this? Has the policy changed? Can someone please clarify. If the policy
has changed who is responsible for deciding the priority of a bug?
Thanks
Gary

That's probably what happened. I recently got the same notice about being dropped from the cinder bugs team if I didn't renew my membership. It's not a bad idea since there have been issues where you have a lot of projects associated with a single bug and launchpad times out changing status or making other updates because it's trying to process everyone that gets notified.
