We are proud to announce the release of Fuel 7.0, deployment and management tool for OpenStack.
This release introduces support for OpenStack 2015.1.0 (Kilo) and continues to improve Fuel's pluggability and flexibility: - Fuel plugins now can reserve their own VIP addresses, define their own node roles, extract granular deployment tasks from controllers to dedicated nodes. Plugin versioning system makes it easy to publish and apply maintenance updates to plugins. - Networking templates allow you to redefine the set of network roles that can be assigned to node NICs, and, combined with node groups improvements, greatly expand the range of possible network topologies. In addition to that, dozens of new features and deployment options were added, ranging from Neutron DVR and VXLAN, to customizing node hostnames and assigning node labels, to more flexible bonding and NIC offloading settings, just to name a few. Hundreds of bugs were fixed (1565 to be precise), ranging from scalability and HA issues to user experience complaints.
