BTW, regarding devstack: See https://bugs.launchpad.net/devstack/+bug/1532924. I have been trying to get the current code to work, following the ideas in https://specs.openstack.org/openstack/fuel-specs/specs/7.0/jumbo-frames-between-instances.html#proposed-change . It fails only at the last step: the MTU on the network interface inside the VM is still 1500.
