I've been thinking for some time about going bigger. It occurs to me that the
destination node has enough context to know what should be present. I think it
would be cleaner for the destination to check what it has, and send the delta
back to the source in migration_data. I think that would remove the need for
shared storage negotiation entirely. Of course, we'd need to be careful about
cleaning up after ourselves, but that's already true.

Sounds interesting if you can make it work reliably.
