I've finished packaging mitaka on Gentoo, won't be marked stable for about a month. The version packaged is based off of the stable/mitaka branch (noted by the version being 2016.1.9999). I haven't found where an upgrade guide is being worked on (if anywhere), so that would help in testing if anyone knows where it is.
