Since most of the image attribute translation is handled by image/glance.py, I don't see any problem with dropping glance v1 support. However, there is a just one utility (io_util.py) in the driver that references <https://github.com/openstack/nova/blob/master/nova/virt/vmwareapi/io_util.py#L121> glance v1 image state 'killed' that needs to updated. There is a patch https://review.openstack.org/#/c/281134 that refactors the image upload and removes this file altogether. It will be good to merge it now.
