I'd like to emphasize that I don't see this as any one person's fault. I just 
was thinking aloud about whether or not we find much use. We're not exactly a 
high activity team and we do communicate very well via this very medium.

This sounds fine to me. It might even be less confusing than having two 
separate days and channels too.
