We should probably add these requirements to devstack to support developer systems as well. I think that means this discussion should happen on the openstack-dev mailing list, instead of just the -infra mailing list (there is some cross-over but the devstack team is separate from the infra team). Having the discussion there will also give us a better chance of getting the attention of the folks from the distros who work on ensuring the packages needed to run OpenStack are easily available for all platforms, which is the larger question here. Would you mind reposting over on openstack-dev so we can ensure everyone involved will see the conversation?
