I'm interested in assessing the difficulty of implementing IPSEC tunneling as a cloud pipe feature using open/strongSwan. I was hoping someone could provide direction and possibly mentorship to identify what would need to be done to implement this feature and provide guidance on the implementation . I'm reviewing OpenStack as a basis for a second generation of a private cloud hosted application platform I maintain. I will be happy to establish a detailed blueprint for implementing the feature. I, unfortunately, will not be able to implement it unless I choose it as my cloud management platform.
