Hi Daniel, Thank you for this quick answer, spice could be a solution as the virtual appliance I plan to deploy (based on an iso livedvd) can use qxl video driver.

There is no facility to change the video card directly at this time. The only time it will change is if you enable spice, in which case it'll use qxl instead of cirrus.
