Hi, I was trying to understand how the hostId parameter in server is generated, or if is a unique id for a tenant and an user. I found this link <https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/6477/what-is-the-hostid-parameter-in-server-details/> [1] in AskOpenstack that explain better my question, and this one <https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/894323> [2] say that can be a hash of the compute node and the tenant id but I could not find an answer, I looked in the code but it's not easy to find where this is. My question is how is generated? Is it a hash or a unique id?
