Hi All,
I have found the same problem on my normal setup without using storage node.
All in the same machine
Controller <->compute node. setup
Controller on Fedora20 host machine and compute node running in VM (Fedora20)
on the same machine.
I found that
sudo service nova-compute status
Redirecting to /bin/systemctl status nova-compute.service
nova-compute.service
Loaded: not-found (Reason: No such file or directory)
Active: inactive (dead)
hope I am in the right direction, please correct me If I am wrong.

Well, after working with Guillermo we have acknowleged is that it seems to be
an issue with the shared storage (CephFS).
We changed /var/lib/nova/instances to local storage on one of the computer
nodes and voila! The node it's not going down with XXX anymore!
Now we want to check if it's a file permissions issue on
/var/lib/nova/instances or there is a issue with shared fs ceph storage.
