Hi,
I know that my situation is not 100% compatible with your's (I have tenant
VLANs and a flat external network) but for comparison
this is my demo setup:

What I find suspicious is that I get
| name | net-demo |
| provider:network_type | vlan |
| provider:physical_network | physnet1 |
| provider:segmentation_id | 1501 |
| router:external | False |
while you have
| name | demo-net2 |
| router:external | False |
| shared | False |
| status | ACTIVE |
I would expect that there should be something like
| provider:network_type | gre |
but I'm not sure if this were correct.
