Welcome to learning Openstack Karishma, The best way to get started is have a virtualbox installed on your machine, create a VM, have Ubuntu installed on it and start off with installing DevStack.
https://github.com/openstack-dev/devstack/ sudo -l sudo apt-get install vim cd git clone https://github.com/openstack-dev/devstack/ -b stable/mitaka cd devstack ./stack.sh More information here lo1.venumurthy.com which is part of a video course created https://www.packtpub.com/virtualization-and-cloud/learning-openstack-video I suppose that you would like to contribute to the success of OpenStack as a Developer, and lovingly OpenStack is in Python which is much simpler and your transition will be much easier.
