Yeah it looks like the docs are wrong. Setting those don’t do anything as far as I can tell.. the only way I know to get trove running is to use the scripts in the integration directory, these are for development purposes. https://github.com/openstack/trove/tree/master/integration .. unless anyone else has something to add?
Then to use the integration tools to create an instance, you can see the following for help: https://github.com/openstack/trove/blob/master/doc/source/contributor/how_to_create_a_trove_instance.rst Lastly, feel free to message me on IRC trevormc in #openstack-trove From: Zhang Fan [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, July 26, 2017 1:24 AM To: Zhang Fan <[email protected]>; openstack <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Openstack] [OpenStack][Trove]Missing settings or missing docs? Hi guys, I am following this doc https://docs.openstack.org/project-install-guide/database/ocata/install-rdo.html< https:/docs.openstack.org/project-install-guide/database/ocata/install-rdo.html> to install and configure trove. There are some steps in "Install and configure components" section, for example, providing appropriate values for the settings like "notifier_queue_hostname", "keystone_authtoken" in /etc/trove/trove.conf. But I cannot find there settings in my /etc/trove/trove.conf file. So I am wondering is there something wrong with the doc, or am I missing anything while I am installing and configuring trove? My system version is CentOS 7, OpenStack version is 3.8.1 and Trove version is 2.8.0. Hope you guys can help me out. Fan Zhang ________________________________ Best wishes.
