Is it a beaglebone or a beaglebone black board?

Did you check the sh256sum of the compressed image (*.raw.xz file)?
Is the SD card recognized on a desktop computer?

Did you press the boot select switch button on power on as mentionned on this
page: https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:BeagleBone_Black ?

What returns the 'printenv' command in u-boot?
