It should, but its not as efficient. -default is more than twice the size (and needs initrd) than the guest kernel.. its not that difficult to maintain the guest flavor config, but it seems we don't want it upstreamed because it is too much effort to maintain. Switching to kernel-default is however an independent topic than switching to kernel-obs-build. main thing that needs fixing currently is getting the device tree passed through.
