The good news is, me lying sick and bored in bed the weekend, I've once again figured out how to work around most of the issues, including how to avoid a new watchdog reset and how to boot a patched U-Boot via UART! For people not wanting to dual-boot, I noticed that the documentation for the OpenWrt Turris OS features Tumbleweed as LXC guest template: https://www.turris.cz/doc/en/howto/lxc Not having heard from Michal, I'm testing a linux-next based .dts I've quickly put together - the WAN GbE port (eth2) works for me, like most other bits; only the Marvell 88E6176 switch doesn't seem to be upstream.
