I went on with this image and did a "zypper up --no-recommends". All went well 
and a reboot was very fast, even the scan on USB storage.

A following reboot however, was not successful; scanning for the USB storage 
hung up the system, however unplugging the power and plugging in it again did 
boot the system again.

So I decided to continue with installation of kernel-default-4.8.8-1.1 and 
dtb-broadcom-4.8.8-16.2 from openSUSE-Ports-Tumbleweed-repo-oss replacing 
these packages from Factory-Contrib-RPi3, which does not provide anything 
anymore.
This was successful. Also some packages for Wi-Fi were loaded. However the 
Wi-Fi device is still not visible nor is the bluetooth device.
