I tried the same image on a 16GB microSD and I got a system which was OK, so a
reboot succeeded and parted -l looks like this:

Model: SD SC16G (sd/mmc)
Disk /dev/mmcblk0: 15,9GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt
Disk Flags:

Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
 1 1049kB 211MB 210MB fat16 Microsoft basic data
legacy_boot, msftdata
 2 212MB 15,4GB 15,2GB ext4 Linux filesystem
 3 15,4GB 15,9GB 509MB linux-swap(v1) Linux swap swap

Bug report?
