You'are absolutely right to ask about a heatsink, but actually I have
even the "official" nanopi heatsinks attached to it - and of course we
will have another warm day today (up to 36° C here in Wuppertal).

What I thought about was a tool like "sensors", which says it couldn't
detect any sensors on the nanopi neo.

In the fine manual
    http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_NEO
they use a command called "cpu_freq", but they run debian/ubuntu and I
can't find anything similar for OpenSuse.

Greetings

Peter
