Today I tried image:
openSUSE-Tumbleweed-JeOS.aarch64-15.1.0-RaspberryPi-Build61.34.raw.xz
from Matthias Brugger.

After installing xorg packages and pattern XFCE, adding a normal user, and
setting the default target to graphical-interface, I was able, after login, to
have a XFCE desktop for that normal user. I can use the mouse and the
keyboard, so it almost reaches a usable state for me.

In order to use wireless one needs to replace the package wpa_supplicant by
the older one from the repository. At least 2.4 GHz wireless works with that
older version. The system also sees 5 GHz access points, but I could not
connect to these.
