I had an issue with the upgrade to snapshot 20191225 on my Odroid C2 SBC. I didn't/don't see grub2/grub2-arm64-efi in the list of changed packages, but from my zypp/history logfile it appears that grub2 was updated from 2.02-49.1 -TO- 2.02-1.4 The issue I had: On my Odroid C2, I'm using an EMMC instead of an SD card. It appears to me that /etc/default/grub file was overwritten and the new file contained the UUID of the contrib. provided SD card image. So upon reboot, the bootloader couldn't find the root file system. I manually edited the /boot/grub2/grub.cfg file and was able to boot, but then the purge kernel script ran and reset the UUID to the wrong ID. After it failed to boot again, and finding the wrong UUID, it dawned on my that my /etc/default/grub file had been improperly altered. I'm willing to write a bug report if requested.
