IMHO it is more important that packages in openSUSE:Factory:Contrib
build for Factory - it has been decided that builds for released
versions are unsupported.

So far the policy with broken packages was that these (and their
dependencies) are not copied to openSUSE:$ver:Contrib when such
project is branched. On the other hand, I don't see any reason why
abandoned packages should stay in openSUSE:Factory:Contrib...
