Probably - but what exactly is it that strikes you as so important and
unique about the Mandrake doc? I just see a bunch of manuals there and
don't quite get what it is you want for LfL.

openSUSE documentation (start-up guide) structure is incorrect and it
lacks a lot in Part II.

openSUSE documentation does explain: (start-up guide)

-ls
-vi (lacks link to vimtutor, should be added to section 8.7.1)
-cd
-mkdir
-rmdir
-su
-touch
-find
-locate
-redirection & pipes
-cp
-mv
-chmod
-chown

But again, Mandrake has few examples of each command versus one in
SUSE, which can be difficult for newbie to get into and understand.

openSUSE documentation does not explain: (start-up guide)

-archiving with tar
-job control in bash
-hardlinks and softlinks
-process control (ps, kill, killall, top, nice, renice, ...)
-building and installing Free Software (from .tar.gz)
-runlevels (very poor explanation in SUSE)

Those are important things explained very well in Mandrake Docs.

Optional components not explained in Mandrake either:

-mc
-screen

anything important else, that I missed ?
