wow. i WAS doing fine in installing the dvd ( thanks hough1, your application worked fine after i installed yast2-utils) BUT
the installation did not find my graphics card, network, nor sound card. there were a couple of errors in the installation, but they didn't seem important. so i dropped to init3 and ran yast2. it setup my cards(above) ok, but when i went into init 5 it rebooted my physical machine. you see i was installing into a VM of VMware and when it rebooted my suse 10.0 came up..the fonts and screen size were really fowled up. i have no idea why this install into a VM effected my suse10.0system. so now i'm trying to get the fonts back in shape<sigh> anyone else had my problems?
