Help! :P I appear to be stuck in some sort of nasty update hell. I wanted to update zmd/zen-updater/rug/libzypp from the versions on the beta 8 CD's to the newer ones on the factory repo. Here's what I did.
I added the factory repo as a YUM source into rug, then I subscribed to the catalog. After refreshing the catalog I opened up zen-updater and was presented with a long list of available updates. From there I deslected all and re-selected zmd/zen-updater/rug/libzypp and allowed the updater to do it's own 'thang' At this point things went wrong, the updater either stalled, 'crapped out' or the repo was synching and a file was missing or something that the updater couldn't handle. Either way, i had to kill the updater and now i have some problems. I cant update/install/remove anything with zen-*. The updater stalls every time trying to list the available updates. I can't update/add/remove packages with rug. I can't add/remove/update packages with YaST ( both 'Installation Source' and 'Software Management' applets fail to load). I receive the following error in rug when trying to perform package operations:- ERROR: Dependency resolution failed: Resolver Failed Here are the current installed versions rug - 7.1.1-13 libzypp - 0.0.8-64 libzypp-zmd-backend - 7.1.1-10 zmd - 7.1.1-3 zen-updater - 7.1.0-25 So should I update any or all of these? and if so how? rpm? y2pmsh? cheers Graham --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
