Just like Yast updates the sources without the popup from old-times. It's just like it is not gonna start. > For example, after adding 2 sources from the internet and pressing > "Finish", it took 30+ minutes for the window to close. It is in any way a slow way, in the old days it took max 2 minutes and now it takes a livetime, can't this be reduced? > I know that it must have been downloading repository metadata stuff from > the internet, but the average user Joe will be very confused. > > Anyway, I suppose that this could be optimized later. I guess also that it can be optimezed later, but as you allready said: "average user Joe will be very confused." and that is not a good thing. For example: reviewers don't know it about the metapack (and they should not) and they will say that it is awful slow and not user-friendly....ooooopppss > > After you guys pull this release through, you'll be heroes.
