Hello all I installed OPENSUSE RC1 on my ThinkPad T40 and I'm can't get my sound card to work.
During the installation (a fresh install) all hardware was detected properly and configured OK (see Note 1). I opened up KMix and made sure that all the Output and Input setings were at 67% or better, but still I have no sound. - If I insert an audio CD, nothing happens (normally the "Audio CD - Kde demon" should kick in. - If I run Amarok I can't get Amarok to play my favourite Internet stations - If I run Xine and/or Kaffeine, they can play my favourite movies or tracks - but without any sound. All of the above worked before on this computer (under SUSE 10) Any pointers on geting my sound card to work OK would be appreciated.
