yast and zen-updater registration problem
summary: when no updates are available, zen(updater
registration via yast don't
works.
What I did:
* delete any zen-updater config service
* stop zen-updater
* move zmd.db out of the way (renamed)
* tar zmd logs and delete them
* tar Yast logs and delete them
so very fresh logs... in attachment
* start "zen-updater &" from an xterm
* go to config, add.
* see proposed "novell register", accept this starts yast,
registration.
* accept default, looks for server, receive: error:
ERREUR : Impossible d'ajouter
'http://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/suse/update/10.1'
Failed to parse XML metadata: Unknown failure
stop Yast, return to zen-updater
tar zen and yast logs.
/var/lib/zmd.db is created as a zero length file (so no copy
given here)
logs as bugzilla attachement
so visibly the registration fails when no update is available
